SOCIETY FOR EMPOWERMENT OF PEOPLE
Dedicated and committed efforts of a rural youth who served in the Indian Air Force got transformed to be aservice provider. It is Joji Dasaripalla, Junior Warrant Officer (Ex.) who conceptualized and developed Abhayajyothi's Founder President. His specialization, experience and networking made him be with the targeted people forenhancing their quality of life.
Through training and rehabilitation on life cycle basis covering: medical, social, economical and developmental areas with need-based strategies, trying to enhance the skills/capacities of the targeted groups for leading better living with sustainability and quality of life in an inclusive environment.
persons with disabilities (PwDs) and other marginalized people have the right to live with equality and dignity like others in the community.
Abhayjyothi works for the empowerment of the People in general and particularly living in the Rural Villages covering their basic needs with better sustainability and quality which finally improves the Quality of Life (QOL) in an inclusive environment. Some of the key areas it aims to cover include: Disability; HIV / AIDS; Vocational Training; Employment; Senior Citizens; Orphans; Special Education; Environment; Water Management; Youth Development, Training & Research and HRD.
Since 31st December 2010, Abhaya Jyothi is committed to working for people with disabilities, their families and communities to create sustainable change and make an inclusive India with equal dignity & respect for Divyangjans. Today we can say that Abhaya Jyothi is a young yet successful NGO working towards mainstreaming Persons with disability. Having an inclusive workforce, the Abhaya Jyothi team understands what it takes to ensure that no one is left behind. Programs and services have been designed to ensure that a large group of youth with disabilities is able to access quality skill education and training opportunities.
